Dr. Francis DeVito is a lifelong native of New York born in Park Slope, Brooklyn. He is a graduate of the pre-med program at New York University and subsequently he attended St George's University, School of Medicine. After graduation from medical school, he did his pediatric residency at St. Vincent's Hospital, Staten Island, where he also served as Co-Chief resident in 1989. After completing his residency, he spent several months in a neonatology fellowship at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, NY.
Dr. DeVito is NY State licensed and board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and he is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He is also an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at St. George's University School of Medicine, as well as a Clinical Instructor of Pediatrics, SUNY, Downstate Health Science Center, Brooklyn.
Dr. Francis DeVito was previously President of both the Brooklyn Pediatric Society and the Medical Society of Bay Ridge. Dr. DeVito was also listed in the Castle Connolly's "How To Find The Best Doctors," and recently received the NY Methodist Hospital Voluntary Attending Physician of the Year award from the pediatric house staff. He is also a member of the King's County Medical Society, New York State Medical Society and the American Medical Association.
Dr. DeVito is fluent in Italian. He resides in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn with his wife Nina and daughters Andrea, Lauren and Michela.
